What to Expect When Interviewing

Interviewing with Zefr? We’re excited to spend some time getting to know you! We understand interviewing can be stressful, so we want to provide clear guidelines on what you can expect and our commitment to you for a fair, transparent, and inclusive process.

The Process

1. Recruiter Phone Screen

One of our recruiters will meet with you over phone or video to better understand your skills and what you’re looking for, as well as share more about the company, the role, the benefits and answer questions. This is a casual conversation to determine if you meet the basic requirements of the job and to make sure it’s a good fit for both parties.

2. Hiring Manager Interview

Video or in-person interview with the position’s direct manager to determine both job-specific and cultural competencies, understand how you would contribute to the team’s goals, and answer further questions about the role and team.

3. Team Interview

Video or in-person interview to meet the team and/or business partners from other teams, deep-dive into your experience and capabilities, and provide time for your own questions. If you are interviewing for a technical position, this stage will include a coding challenge where an engineer will walk you through an assessment to complete.

4. Decision

After the hiring team has spent some time getting to know you, they will meet as a group to make a final decision. Whether you’re selected for the role or not, the recruiter will reach out to give you an update and any next steps, accordingly.

We’ll keep you updated at least once per week during your interview process, and welcome your communication and questions throughout the process.
